Commentary
It was fairly cold and sunny today but I didn’t feel the wind as I was walking mostly downwind. The route was mostly on pavement apart from some woodland near Erith.
I visited 5 LFB fire stations – Erith, Plumstead, East Greenwich, Greenwich and Deptford. The latter is one of the oldest LFB fire stations, dated 1903.
I visited 2 town halls – Erith and Greenwich. The latter is undergoing extensive building work and is sheathed in plastic so there wasn’t much to photograph.
I had a navigational mishap meaning I missed Deptford station even though I walked close to it. The problem was caused by failing to add a waypoint for it to my route and not noticing this before walking.
