I am performing my Tubewalk to raise funds for

If you’d like make a donation you can do this at Enthuse.

Samaritans Redbridge Branch is a branch of the Samaritans national charity.  We work in our local community to reduce the number of people who take their own lives and ensure there is someone to listen to anyone going through a tough time. We provide free of charge support, principally by phone and e-mail.

The Samaritans’ organisation is here to listen, without judgement, to anyone struggling to cope, day or night, all year round.  We’re trying to make things better for people experiencing feelings of distress or despair including those which may lead to suicide.  We work to stop people reaching crisis point and help them find ways to cope.  Each year our branch helps around 6,000 people.

Being structured as a branch under the Samaritans charity ‘umbrella’ brings us significant operational and efficiency advantages while retaining autonomy in our local branch operations.  Our branch is governed by a Branch Leadership Team of local volunteers and our service is delivered by 85 volunteers drawn from our local community.  We have no paid staff.

Our branch volunteers are responsible for raising all the funds to cover our branch costs which are budgeted to be £47,500 in the coming year.  Our fundraising, including donations in connection with activities like this, enables us to offer our service free of charge. Some of our financial metrics are shown below.  Each and every donation helps us make a real difference to someone in need.
